MARGAO: Capuchin Brothers Canacona edged past Pillar Brothers 2-1 in the Futsal League organised by Goan Priests, held at Verna ground. Bro Myruss netted a brace for Capuchin Brothers Canacona and Bro Fabian scored a goal for Pillar Brothers.

A total of 83 priests and 30 Brothers participated in the league.

Chief guest presented prizes Fr Edwin Rocha was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Fr Tumarkora and Thimothy Vaz.

Individual Awards: Highest Scorer: Fr Synter and Fr Jose (Capuchin); Best goalkeeper: Fr Jose (MSFS); Player of the league: Fr Norbert

Best Defender: Fr Dylon and Fr Frankey (DP); Matchmaker: Fr Carson and Youngest Priest: Fr Joliff

MARGAO: Loyola HS Margao and The Kings School Sao Jose De Areal entered the semi-finals of the All Goa inter-school U-14 football tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim in memory of Sir Jawaharlal Da Costa, at Seraulim panchayat ground.In the boys category, Loyola High school edged past The Kings School, Sao Jose De Areal 3-2.
