After demanding a full-fledged chief officer for better administration, the Canacona Municipal Council (CMC) will now get a new chief officer but he too will be entrusted with an additional charge. In a new set of transfers of Junior Scale Officers issued on Wednesday, Ganesh K Barve has been posted as chief officer of CMC, with an additional charge of forest settlement officer (South).
