CHORAO : As part of the ‘Country First’ week by Samraat Club International, Samraat Club Chodan, in collaboration with Raghuvir and Premavati Salkar Higher Secondary School, organised an elocution competition on the theme India’s Struggle for Freedom on August 13.
Students from various streams took part with enthusiasm. Vedika K. Kandolkar of Class XI Arts won the first prize, while Nivya E. Dhuri of Class XII Commerce secured the second place.
The contest was judged by Umesh Narvekar, who praised the clarity of thought and research of the participants. Speaking on the occasion, Dharma V. Chodankar, Director for Club Extension, highlighted the need to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Senior teacher Luiza Pereira encouraged students to use such platforms to build confidence and sharpen skills. Former Chodan sarpanch Kamlakant Vadyekar was also present.
