MARGAO
'Jaag', one of the oldest magazines in Konkani, will celebrate the 61st birth anniversary of its former Editor and renowned linguist, Late Madhavi Sardesai on July 8 at Margao. On this occasion, an award in the memory of renowned scientist and activist Dr Jaiwantrao (Aaku) Sardesai will be presented to Dinesh Manerkar, for his rich contribution to the Konkani publishing field. This programme will be held on July 8, at 5.30 pm at Goenkar Ghor, Davondem Fatorda. Renowned author Datta Damodar Naik will grace this function as chief guest while Girish Kelekar will be the chief speaker. This programme is open for all says the press note issued by Asawari Nayak, editor of Jaag magazine.
