Lions Club of Calangute & Leo Club of Calangute in association with Food SOS, Umeed Project and Crypto Relief distributed dry ration to 25 families for one month.
Dry ration kit of 25 kg included atta, rice, mixed dal, daliya, sugar, salt, poha, tea powder, lal mirch, haldi powder, dhaniya powder, cumin, biscuits and sanitary napkins.
Lions Club President Lion Murtaza Matheranwala thank Food SOS, Umeed Project and Crypto Relief for providing dry ration kits. HE said, "We have distributed these kits to the neediest people of the region whose livelihood has been worst hit by this pandemic. The beneficiaries of the ration kits are mostly dependent on daily business activities. Our club is trying its best to reach out to provide support to vulnerable individuals and families."
Present on the occasion were Lions Club Secretary Lion Raies Ahmed, Treasurer Lion Raymond Pereira, Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Illyas Rajabali, Senior Member Lion Pio Souza, Lion Sakina Matheranwala, Leo Club President Leo Sagar Lawande, Leo Treasurer Leo Abbas Haider Hakim and Leo Member Leo M.
