Goa Marathi Academy felicitates students who score 90 % plus marks in SSC and HSSC exams held by Goa Board. The felicitation programme held annually also felicitates the teachers who guide these meritorious students. This year the felicitation will be held on March 15 at Hanumant Natyagruha in Mapusa in the presence of Prof Anil Samant, president of Goa Marathi Academy. Demand to postpone temple committees' polls

PANAJI Stating that the government approved 14 temple committees in Canacona taluka will have their elections on March 13, Manoj Korgaonkar, mamlatdar of Canacona has explained that since the elections fall in the middle of annual rituals, the date should be postponed from March 13 to March 20.
