The State recorded six more Covid deaths in the last 24-hours which took the death toll to 2,969. This is the lowest 24-hour death toll in the last two months as Goa had earlier recorded three covid deaths on April 17 and from then on, the number of fatalities went on increasing. Of the six deaths, three were recorded at GMC and one each at SGDH, PHC Betki and Grace Cardiac Hospital, Margao. Incidentally, two of the deceased are from Maharashtra.
There were 254 new cases and 468 recoveries with the active Covid count of Goa reducing to 3,824. In a relief of sorts, Goa recorded a low positivity rate of 8.6 % with 254 of the 2,953 samples testing positive today.
