PANAJI: The Goa University has selected the men and women's athletic teams for the West Zone/All India Inter-University Athletic men & women championship 2023-24, which is scheduled from December 26-29, to be held at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar.
The kit distribution and farewell function for the teams was organized on December 21, at the Sports Section, Goa University, in the presence of Mr Balachandra Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University, Dr Shailendra Gaonkar, Assistant Sports Officer, Goa University along with Dr Ajinkya Kudtarkar, team Manager, Saurab Raikar, Nehal Mandrekar, team manager and Prissie Fernandes team coach.
The teams comprise of: Men Team: Eldridge Fernandes, Faheem Killedar, Shivprasad Patil, Vighnesh Jadhav, Mahesh Naik Desai, Devraj Chalwadi, Moses Mascarenhas, Angelo Carvalho, Rudra Bhosle, Narendra Taiguly and Laxman Shetgaonkar
Women Team: Ankita Gaonkar, Shimron Nathan, Manasi Kunkalkar, Palak Lolayekar, Ayan Soares and Rucha Dalvi
