In an online event, for the Guinness World Records official attempt, 'I dare to dream’ to claim the title ‘Most photos of people painting uploaded to Facebook in one hour’ Meenal Pai Raiturkar of Goa participated and represented Singapore. From Goa, Urja Pai Raiturkar, Riya Naik, Aarushi Sambari and Ishita Pai Raiturkar participated in this global event. An interior designer Meenal congratulated the participants from Goa for their attempt. Believing that art heals and acts as a stress buster, during the lockdown she conducted online painting classes for kids and women. She led around 50 artists from Singapore in the global event ‘I dare to dream’.
Over 900 persons from 194 cities in India participated in the event and around 200 artists participated from 112 countries. Held in the first week of May, the event was meant for the art lovers of the world who love creative artworks and paintings and was organised by Radart Foundation and IARF. Mayank Vyas, India (director, Radart Foundation & IARF) and Dr Mahima Gupta, USA (head, RADART-IARF) had organised this free event ‘I dare to dream’ wherein the participants got an opportunity to share the platform with 1,000 plus art lovers of India and 100 plus countries. All that was needed was a picture that the participant had to click while doing the painting. The attempt began on May 3 between 7 pm to 8 pm. Those who uploaded the already clicked picture on the event during this one-hour time frame would help in spreading the message of happiness and harmony across borders to bring smiles across miles, with art.
