Royla Fernandes and her team of Goencho Ekvott organized a Cycle for Cause, Cycle for the Environment on October 11 in Benaulim. The event was flagged off by Convenor Creson Antao at Zudio, Karle Properties, Benaulim, which had over 100 participants.
The flag off point opposite Zudio is a water catchment area through which Western Bypass will pass through destroying the wetland and is being followed up with Goa government - Ministry of Environmental, Forest & Climate Change.
The cyclists halted at Voddlem Tollem, the largest reservoir for rainwater harvesting and soon to be notified as Wetland by GWA. Tiny tots joined the rally at Government Primary school, Pulvaddo. Rally wound up at Maria hall with certificates being distributed at hands of Fr Milagres Dias.
