Argument over parking leads to assault at Colva restaurant, three arrested

The Colva police have arrested three persons in connection with the assault incident that took place in a restaurant at Colva last night.

Colva police station in-charge, PI Melson Colaco informed that the police have arrested three persons, Cletus Pacheco, Clyde Pacheco and R K Das in connection with the incident.

PI Melson informed that the trio has been remanded to one day’s police custody.

The restaurant owner Prakash Thappa, who was admitted to the hospital, had told the police that the trio had first assaulted his waiter after he questioned them for parking of their vehicle in front of the restaurant. 

Thappa had alleged that the trio had then assaulted him and also damaged the tables and other items in the restaurant when the customers were having food.

PI Melson informed that the complaint was lodged by one of the customers sitting in the restaurant at the time of the incident.
