The first ever Goa-CMS VATAVARAN Film Festival and Forum on LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment) 2023 will be inaugurated at the hands of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on March 5 and will continue till March 7 at Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) and BITS Pilani Goa campus. The three-day festival will have cultural programmes and a series of panel discussions, seminars, green filmmaking workshops and on-the-spot quiz competitions. Known to be Asia’s biggest and India’s premier environment and wildlife film festival and forum the festival is aimed towards enhancing understanding, appreciation and shift in attitudes towards the natural world and to increasing space for environmental issues in mass media and evolving a nationwide environment outreach framework. The festival will be held in collaboration with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), its Commission on Education and Communication (CEC), #NatureForAll, Wild Life Trust of India, Video Volunteers India, Vidnyan Bharti Goa and BITS Pilani Goa.
