Group exhibition ‘I Am’ at Carpe Diem

A group exhibition by the first two batches of MFA students of Goa College of Art that opened recently at Carpe Diem art gallery Majorda will remain open till December end. The exhibition has a variety of works by eight artists on the theme of identity.   

The artists whose artworks are displayed are Sahil Naik, Prayuj Velip, Akash Gaonkar, Ashish Phaldesai, Narayan Vernekar, Mrinal Sawantodkar, Akshaydeep Gawade and Jodan Inacio De Souza. The works describe their family roots, speak of their love for nature and the environment and how their identity is built from their community and the harmony of living beings around them.

Their works speak of the consequences of destruction of the environment and human greed.
