GUJ election postponed by a month

The annual GUJ General Body meeting and election of the new GUJ executive committee 2021-2023, scheduled in June 2021, has been postponed by one month due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The decision was taken at the GUJ executive committee meeting recently. The AGM, election date and schedule will be announced in the first week of July 2021, stated the GUJ press note.

At 253, Goa's Covid count lowest, 9 deaths

PANAJI The State on Monday recorded the 9 Covid deaths, a single-digit toll for the second time in the last four days. Also, with 253 new cases, the single-day Covid count of Goa was lowest on Monday compared to the past two-and-a-half months. Of the nine deaths, four were recorded at GMC, two at South Goa District Hospital and one each at Ponda, Redkar Hospital and SMRC.
