The Department of Information and Publicity is organising annual Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, the great Maratha warrior at Farmagudi- Ponda on February 19. As part of the celebration of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji, DIP will organize an all-Goa inter collegiate quiz on the topic “ Life and Times of Chhatrapati Shivaji (1627 to 1680) with stress on Shivaji’s Fort and all-Goa Theatrical Entry (Natya Pravesh) Competition for students at higher secondary level on the life and times of Shivaji from 9 am onwards at the precincts of Ganapati Temple premises at Farmagudi.
Quiz winners will be awarded cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 and two consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 each. Winners of theatrical entry will also be awarded cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 as first, second and third prize, respectively.
Those desirous to participate may submit their entries to the DIP before February 18.
