A leopard was killed on Wednesday night after getting caught in a snare set to trap wild animals at a plantation in Nanus-Usgao. The snare is believed to have been laid to trap wild boar, but the leopard got trapped in the snare. After the dead leopard was noticed, the forest department officials were notified and a forest team went to the site to conduct an investigation. A veterinary doctor later examined the dead leopard. The forest officials are interrogating the owner of the plantation.
