Khedekar set to become Mapusa mandal chief

MAPUSA

With the BJP’s new age limit of 45 years for mandal presidents coming into effect, Yogesh Khedekar is set to be elected as the Mapusa mandal president unopposed.

According to sources, Khedekar’s nomination was the only one received for the position, making his election a foregone conclusion.

Khedekar currently serves as the General Secretary of the outgoing Mapusa Mandal, and his elevation to the top post reflects the party’s preference for experienced leaders within the stipulated age criteria.

The unopposed selection process aligns with the BJP’s push for a streamlined and consensus-driven approach to organisational elections across constituencies.

An official announcement of Khedekar’s appointment is expected soon.
