The Maina Curtorim police has registered an offense against unknown persons for hill cutting in Macazana Village. A complaint lodged by an officer attached to the Town and Country Planning Department, Margao stated that prior to 03/01/2025 at Macazana Village, unknown accused persons carried out illegal hill cutting by using machinery without obtaining any permission from the Town and Country planning and other Government authorities. A case under section 17-A of the Town and Country Planning Act has been registered against unknown persons. Further investigation is conducted by PSI Sagar Kamat of Maina Curtorim police station.
