Goa Marathi Academy’s Bicholim cell has organised a Marathi cultural meet at Deendayal auditorium on March 20 at 9 am. The inaugural ceremony will see participation of writer Prof Manisha Subbarao Nesarkar along with Goa Marathi Academy’s president, Prof Anil Samant, executive member Poornima Kerkar, Suryakant Desai, Somnath Pilgaonkar among others. A seminar ‘Shabdsuranshi Jadle Naate’ will be held at 10 am with the participation of Vijaykumar Verenkar (science), Gajanan Desai (literature) and Arjun Parab (arts). Somnath Pilgaonkar and Varsha Dhupkar will coordinate the seminar. Thereafter, at 12.30 pm youth cultural programme will begin, followed by poet’s meet at 2.30 pm. Dr Guruprasad Kapadi will preside over the poetry recitation programme. The poets who will read their poetry are Chandrakant Gawas, Dr Pravin Sawant, Tanuja Nevgi, Chandralekha Gawas, Trupti Bandodkar, Beena Kandolkar, Sanjiv Ajgaonkar, Rubina Shaikh, Smita Gaad, Vitthal Bhagat, Srusti Naik, Indu Parab, Sadhana Arondekar, Mukund Malgaonkar, Shubhalata Kalangutkar, Gauri Nadgauda and Shraddha Desai.
