At many places in Benaulim there are electrical poles loaded with numerous wires in close proximity to houses. Uninsulated power cables hang cheek by jowl with telephone wires, TV cables and other miscellaneous stuff.
Not only is this a danger to the cables themselves, (think short circuits) but also to the inhabitants of such houses.
As per the Goa Master Plan, all cables were to be shifted in underground channels to keep them out of harm's way and also to nullify the ugliness of the landscape on account of such arrangements.
I request the government authorities to implement their earlier proposals as soon as possible.
