PWD must issue regular monthly bills

It is noticed that the PWD is not issuing regular monthly bills for water consumption thereby leading to several issues for the common man. It is also seen that the department is not following the proper tariff slabs while issuing the bills which results into a rise in the billing amount.

For example, in case a consumer uses 96 units for 57 days, the department issues the bill without following monthly tariff plan mentioned overleaf.

The consumer who uses above 50 units is deprived from free water of 16 units. For 96 units the bill is calculated as 96 x 25 rupees directly without following monthly tariff for 57 days.

I don't know how 57 days become a month. In a month, if a consumer crosses 50 units then billing system of 50 units x 25 rupees should be made applicable as per tariff plan.

Even nobody seems to be bothered to ask about the free water of 16000 litres per month. The department needs to streamline its system and issue bills at a monthly interval to avoid inconvenience to the common man.
