MGP is opportunist party

After the results were declared on March 10, MGP has changed its colour and decided to support BJP who won 20 seats. MGP had refused a pre-poll alliance with the BJP in spite of talks by Devendra Fadnavis.

After the exit polls, Sudin Dhavalikar was upbeat and had said he would be the king and the kingmaker. But on March 10 after the results things changed and the lion that roared meekly was put into the cage.

Dhavalikar has understood that sitting in the opposition will not be in his interest and immediately announced unconditional support to the BJP.

The MGP if it needs to survive in the future needs to be revived from the grass root level. The legacy of late Bahusaheb Bandodkar and Shashikala should be preserved.

Presently, the leaders have become opportunist and are ready to go to any extent to be in power to fulfil their own wishes in the name of development.

Its time for MGP to either stick to its principles or dissolve the party.
