Margao: The Department of BBA Travel and Tourism of Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, organised ENTRADA’25, a national level inter-collegiate event, on 11 September at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, to mark World Tourism Day. The event was based on the theme Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.
The programme began with a prayer service, lamp lighting and a Sustainability Oath. Chief Guest Manish Khanna, Executive Director of Eastern International Hotels Ltd., in his address stressed the role of tourism in India’s growth and the need to preserve Goa’s traditions. He also underlined the importance of hotels in promoting sustainability. The event was formally declared open by Principal Prof. Helic Barretto.
Competitions such as Debatoria, Eco-Nova, Kaavi Kanvas, Globe Quest, Cultural Chronicles, Route Reboot and Era of SDGs were held, judged by industry experts. Six teams, with nine participants each, took part.
At the valedictory function, Chief Guest Amit Malhotra, Hotel Manager at The St. Regis Resort, Goa, spoke about sustainability, passion, and blending local culture into tourism. The event souvenir was released, followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Team Terra Voyagers (Goa University) emerged runners-up, while Team Eco Trekkers (MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce) bagged the overall championship.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking ENTRADA’25 as a successful platform to promote sustainable practices in tourism.
