The State government on Monday transferred Managing Director of Goa Housing Board Neha Naik Panavelkar as commissioner of departmental inquiries. In an order, Director of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Sudhir Kerkar will now hold additional charge of managing director of Goa Housing Board in addition to his own duties.
Sao Jose de Areal house gutted in fire
MARGAOA raging fire completely destroyed a residential house at Sao Jose de Areal on Monday morning, destroying all the valuables, including cash of Rs 15,000, besides gold ornaments. The fire is also believed to have reduced to ashes the documents, including the school certificates of the children.
