Five out of nine panch members have moved a motion of no confidence against Verla Canca Sarpanch Deepali Bicholkar. The notice issued to Bardez Block Development Officers, panch Aarti Chari, Vasudev Korgaonkar, Mohan Dabhale, Digamber Kalangutkar and Ashok Arlekar has been signed. The panch members have alleged that the Sarpanch does not take the panch members into confidence regarding ward-wise developmental works. There are also claims that the Sarpanch misuses the post, and does not follow Panchayat Raj Act.
