Pernem fireman's body found on railway tracks

The body of a fireman attached to the Pernem fire station was found on the railway tracks at Poraskadem-Pernem on Saturday. The mutilated body was sent to Goa Medical College at Bambolim for an autopsy. Police is conducting investigations to verify if it was a case of suicide or an accident.

PANAJITurkish film ‘Once Upon a Time in Anatolia’ will be screened by Cinephile Film Club at Maquinez Palace on August 18 at 6.30 pm. Directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, the 2.32 hour film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011. The director Nuri has made a name for himself not just in Turkish cinema but on the world stage as well.
