ALDONA
St Thomas parish in Aldona marked the solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the India’s 75 th Independence Day on August 15 with an evening of revival of Goan traditions, culture and cuisine titled 'Somudayanchea Ekvottachi Sanz'. The theme chosen for the event was: 'Marie sangata somudaik Ekchar, Sohobhageliponn, Misanv jiyeum-ia'. The Sunday school children, youth and the members of different Somudais brought alive on stage Goan folk dances and festivals at the event. Stalls demonstrating different traditional occupations, besides different traditional equipments and kitchenware used in the yesteryears were on display at the venue.
