MAPUSAThe electricity department on Monday announced power shedding in Bardez for a week from December 6 onwards from 6 am to 5 pm on account of work taken up by the Power Grid on 400 KV Kolhapur-Mapusa Line 2 circuit. “There will be interruptions in power supply due to outage availed by Power Grid on 400 KV Kholhapur-Mapusa Line 2 circuit for changing of conductor from December 6 to 12 on a daily basis from 6 am to 5 pm,” said Pradip Narvekar, Executive Engineer, Mapusa. He said since the full load will be operated from one circuit, load shedding will have to be carried out as and when required on real time basis. Consumers are requested to take note and cooperate with the department.
St Francis Xavier feast celebrated at Kolhapur
BELAGAVI The Feast of St Francis Xavier Church, Kolhapur was celebrated on Sunday. Large Faithful from Kolhapur, Ichalkaranji, Rukadi, Jaisingpur and other places attended the feast mass and took part in the procession. Large number of Goan settlers reside in Kolhapur where Jesuits also run school which is in the name of St Francis Xavier. Jesuits Fr Andrew Fernandes, Fr Fr Ratnakar Dushing, Fr Vikram Shingare concelebrated the feast mass.
