Raise voice against human trafficking: ARJ appeal to journalists in Goa

The journalists in Goa should raise their voice against human trafficking and the sexual harassment meted towards women in Goa, appealed Arun Pandey, director, Anyay Rahit Jindagi (ARJ), a Vasco based NGO that works for the upliftment of women. Pandey was speaking at a programme organized at the Bhagwan Mahavir Government High School at Honda Sattari. The programme organized jointly by journalists’ associations in Sattari and Bicholim, was aimed at educating the journalists and activists working in these two fields - human trafficking and atrocities on women.

The programme was attended by ARJ coordinator Juliana Lohar along with Adv Maria Vaz, Uday Sawant, president of Sattari Patrakar Sangh, Raviraj Chari, president of Bicholim Patrakar Sangh and other dignitaries. Journalists in both these talukas, as well as activists and social workers, were also present.
