In a fire incident reported in the wee hours of Tuesday, a room went up in flames causing damage of around Rs 80,000 in Chapora.Mapusa fire personnel informed that they received a call at around 5.25 am about the fire incident near Siddheswar Temple at Dabholvaddo, Chapora.The Mapusa fire brigade rushed to the site and doused the flames. Although the cause of the fire was not known, fire personnel suspected that it could be a short circuit.The fire personnel informed that most of the rafters, roof tiles and clothes were completely gutted in the fire.Further investigation is on.
