Melwyn D'Souza gave an introduction to apiculture, Oswald Pinto touched upon monsoon vegetables and the benefits of home gardening. He also shared techniques that have become popular like terrace farming. “Placing pots of vegetable plants on the terrace for better sunlight, you can track the growth and control the amount of sunlight and water as well," said Pinto. The sessions were filled with a lively exchange of tips and tricks on growing various types of plants and also the ways to nurture them. The informal setup created an ambience for exchange of information. Varieties of seeds were distributed and people were encouraged to grow their own gardens.
