In a tragic road accident, a 38-year-old woman from Saligao was killed after she fell from her two-wheeler after colliding with a car at Maddel in Tivim. The incident happened at around 8.30 in the morning when the woman, Shravidha Sawant was travelling from Mapusa to Tivim on her two-wheeler. On reaching Maddel, as she was taking a turn, her scooter dashed an Omni van and with the impact, she was flung on the road. She was later rushed to the North Goa District Hospital where she was declared brought dead. Mapusa Police conducted the panchanama and handed over the body to her relatives. Police are investigating further.
