MARGAO: SCC Loutolim moved to the final after defeating Curtorim Gymkhana 4-3 via the tie-breaker of 1st Antonio Rebelo Memorial, organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Tuesday.
Curtorim Gymkhana had their first chance to take the lead when Ryce fernandes' shot just went over the bar. Loutolim's Shelford Fernandes' shot was well saved by the Curtorim keeper.
In second half, both the team tried best to find the winner but their strikers fumbled with the chances that were created thus the match ended goalless.
In the tie-breaker, Loutolim scored through Shelford fernandes, Ignatius D'Silva, Steve Gomes and Flager Moraes while Joy Hilario, Savio Peixoto and Welson Fernandes found the net for Curtorim.
Shelford Fernandes (SCC Loutolim) was given man of the match and Welson Fernandes (Curtorim Gymkhana) best defender of the match by Joaquim Dias(Asst Treasurer Curtorim Gymkhana).
