Theft at Anjuna hotel, items worth Rs 8 lakh stolen

An unknown person robbed an MP tourist of his mobile, two cameras and other important items from a hotel in Anjuna where he was staying. The items are worth Rs 8 lakh. The incident happened on October 31 in the wee hours between 1.30 am to 7.15 am. The complainant Pradhuman Ghatodia, resident of Shankeshwar, Madhya Pradesh had come to Goa as a tourist. He was staying at a hotel in Anjuna. The theft happened while the tourist was sleeping in his room. An unknown thief entered the room and robbed a mobile, digital cameras, lens and equipment, SD card and mic setup worth Rs 8 lakh. The tourist lodged a complaint with the local police with the help of the hotel management. The police have registered a complaint against unknown robbers under section 427 and 380 of Indian Penal Code. The DYSP Tejashkumar Naik is further investigating the matter.
