MARGAO: USC Seraulim Cricket team entered the semi-finals after defeating Baida Boys Nuvem by 10 wickets in the All Goa inter-village cricket tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim, at Panchayat ground, Seraulim.
In the quarter-finals, USC Seraulim won the toss and elected to field. Baida scored 43 runs in the allotted 5 overs. Seraulim scored the required runs with an over to spare. Nasrulla Khan 21 & Santosh Dham 12 remained not out to claim the 10 wickets victory.
In the other match, Verna SC defeated Toso Boys, Benaulim. Toso Boys, Benaulim scored 50 runs in 5 overs Verna SC responded well by chasing the required runs with 7 balls to spare. Pranay Naik top scored for his team to ensure a semi final berth.
In the last match, Mae De Pobres went down fighting to Davorlim Cricketers in the most exciting match of the tournament. Mae De Pobres scored 43 runs in 5 overs. Davorlim Cricketers had to keep their heart beating till the last ball to claim the spot in the semi-finals. Kassim Nasbandi top scored for Davorlim scoring 13 runs.
