MARGAO: Varca Veterans edged past Carmel Curtorim Veterans 2-1 to move to the semi-finals of the 4th all Goa Veterans football tournament, organised by Batora United club, at DYSA ground, Curtorim, on Saturday.

Varca veterans Francise (Pele) scored the first goal in the 35th minutes. Raju Cardozo doubled the lead in the 60th minute. Carmel Curtorim veterans pulled goal back through Horonatt Mascarenhas in the 85th minutes. Raju Cardozo of Varca Veterans was presented the man of the match award.

MARGAO: Curtorim Gymkhana blanked Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC 3-0 in the all Goa inter-village Lourdes festival football tournament, organised by United Club of Utorda, at SAG ground, Utorda, on Saturday.In the fifth minute, Curtorim Joslan ran from midfield and tackled three players but Nagoa goalkeeper saved well.
