MARGAO: Curtorim Gymkhana blanked Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC 3-0 in the all Goa inter-village Lourdes festival football tournament, organised by United Club of Utorda, at SAG ground, Utorda, on Saturday.
In the fifth minute, Curtorim Joslan ran from midfield and tackled three players but Nagoa goalkeeper saved well. Thereafter, Rossmanhad a chance to take the lead when Frazer D'Costa tactically passed the ball to Andrew who missed by inches. Verna had a golden chance to go ahead but Andrew's header narrowly missed the target.
The score was 0-0 at lemon time. Curtorim had a chance to score in the 45th minute but the ball hit the crossbar.
Curtorim Gymkhana drew first blood through the boots of Josslyn in the 50th minute. Curtorim doubled the tally through Milagres Fernandes to make it 2-0. Anselm scored the third goal for the winners.
