The traditional ‘Bhakti Sangeet Mehfil’ of Shri Damodar Bhajani Sapatah which showcases performances by acclaimed artistes will be livestreamed by Vinsan Academy of Film & Media on August 13 from 7.30 pm onwards. The Vasco Sapatah has been traditionally celebrated during the holy month of Shravan and it is heralded by an evening of ‘Bhakti Sangeet’.
While it is not be possible to have the customary musical evening inside the temple premises due to Covid pandemic, Vasco’s entrepreneur duo, Shripad Shetye and Sanjay Shetye, will take this musical event to devotees by streaming it on the YouTube channel of Vinsan Academy of Film & Media.The ‘Bhakti Sangeet Mehfil’ will feature acclaimed Hindustani Classical vocalist and composer, Pt Shounak Abhisheki from Pune. He is the son and disciple of the maestro, Pt Jitendra Abhisheki, who originated from Goa. Accompanying him will be Hindustani classical music vocalist from the Gwalior gharana, Manjusha Kulkarni and Indian playback singer-actress, Priyanka Barve, also from Pune. Also featured in this event are Goan artistes, Dr Pravin Gaonkar, Devanand Malvankar and singers Samiksha Bhobe and Pallavi Patil. Dr Sanjay Upadhye will be the anchor for this virtual event.
