A youth from Paithona in Salvador do Mundo has been arrested on charges of illegally possessing drugs valued at Rs 10,000 in Saligao.
According to reports, a Saligao police team under the supervision of Police Inspector Milind Bhuimbar were on duty at the Saligao Circle, when Mayur Arlekar (29) was found moving suspiciously on a two-wheeler on Friday at about 1.30 pm.
The police team stopped him and during a check, allegedly found 102 gms of ganja worth Rs 10,000 in the dickey of the scooter.
Saligao police have arrested Arlekar under the NDPS Act and Saligao PSI Akikesh Khedekar is investigating the case.
