The Central Audition Board of All India Radio, Delhi conducted Drama Auditions in 2020 for upgradation from Grade ‘B High’ to Grade ‘A’. The auditions were conducted pan India and a total number of 11 ‘BH’ candidates attended the auditions held at the Panaji station in Goa. Saish Deshpande and Rajendra Naik successfully upgraded to Grade ‘A’ in both Konkani and Marathi language while Raghunath Sancordekar upgraded to Grade ‘A’ in Konkani language. The ‘A’ grade is an added qualification for theatre practitioners. All of the three artists are active in the field of theatre in Goa.
