The sixth edition of Kor Kantar Taleigão “ a musical evening of Konkani songs “ was held near St Michael Church, Taleigão on April 30. Conceptualised by Robert Cabral, and organised by the parishioners, the program which was supported by Priority Sitara and Chris-Armand presentation, saw a crowd of about 3000 Konkani music enthusiasts. Chief guest Rohit Monserrate, CCP Mayor, graced the occasion in presence of Simon D’Silva, President of Goan Welfare Assoc, Doha, Qatar, Taleigão parish priest Fr Cipriano Da Silva, Swapnil Nachnolkar, among other invitees. Cassian (Alcatrazz) and group set the show going with their song Kor Kantar Taleigão, while a host of singers including world-renowned artist Hema Sardesai, Jose Rod, Velrose rendered songs, and an ensemble of musicians lead by Senon de Souza enthralled the audience with their musical notes. Comedians Dominic, Sally and Mathew de Souza entertained the crowd with a dash of their humour. Agnelo de Borim was the host. Superb sound and lights by Casant added a glitter to the event.
