As many as 120 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Goa over the 24-hour reporting period of Tuesday-Wednesday during which seven more patients were hospitalised.
The Directorate of Health Services said, a total of 927 samples were tested and the positivity rate continued to hover around 13 per-cent.
Goa's active Covid-19 caseload also shot up to 818.
Meanwhile in light of the advisory issued by the DHS earlier this week, Dr Chitralekha Naik, consultant physician at a prominent private hospital has advocated "respiratory hygiene" to be adhered to by all and in particular by those with comorbidities.
Advising covering mouth and nose at all times and especially when coughing or sneezing, Dr Naik has suggested hand hygiene regularly, wear masks for students going to school and look out for oxygen levels in case of fever or if tested positive.
