Perhaps for the first time in the last two years and half since Congress turncoat Digambar Kamat had embraced the BJP on September 14, 2022, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said the day is not too far when Margao will witness Acche Din.
The Chief Minister also confirmed that Margao will be among the 27 seats that the party will win in the 2027 Assembly election.
While addressing BJP rank and file from Margao on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said “Whenever I come to Margao, Councillors as well as party workers question me over the induction of Digambar Kamat into my Cabinet. I would like to publicly inform that acche din will come to Margao in the near future”.
Giving full credit to the Congress-turned-BJP Margao MLA for ushering development in the city, the Chief Minister said his government is committed to carry out the pending works, including beautification of the city, protection of heritage structures etc.
He also took the platform to reassure the people that his government will take up regularization of houses in Margao. “Digambar had been consistently taking up the issue of regularization of Margao municipal employees. My government has fulfilled his wish which will give relief to large number of Municipal workers hailing from the poor and downtrodden section of the society”, the Chief Minister added.
