Ahead of presenting the State Budget 2025-26, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday directed the authorities to clear all the pending dues under various social welfare schemes at the earliest.
Sawant on Monday chaired a finance review meeting to discuss various aspects related to State revenue that included preparation of Budget 2025-26 and utilization of 2024-25 Budget apart from Action Plan for clearing all the pending cases before the end of the financial year.
According to the press statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Sawant directed the officials to clear dues under Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS), Griha Aadhar, Laadli Laxmi, Kalakar Support Scheme & other Social Welfare Schemes.
He also asked officials to expedite implementation of Aadhar-based payment systems to enhance transparency.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and explored possibilities of new schemes that could be implemented in the State.
The high-level meeting also saw Sawant issuing directions to the District Collectors for expeditious disposal of various pending cases in both the Collectorates and on boarding of new services in online mode apart from reviving the services of existing facilities.
CMO said that the deliberation took place on Green Budget, waste management, strengthening infrastructure for tourism and time bound online services and overall development of the State.
“CM said that the government shall consider the suggestions, inputs shared by the people and present a budget to ensure long-term development of the State,” CMO said.
