OLD GOA
The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has slammed both the BJP and the Congress for laxity on the Mhadei issue.
The statement was made against the backdrop of Karnataka CM meeting PM Narendra Modi for getting the Kalsa-Bhandura project approved.
Speaking to reporters in Panaji on Wednesday, MLA Viresh Borkar said the BJP government is not serious on the issue as the House Committee which was formed on the Mhadei issue is non functional. “I have been following up on the issue and urging that the House Committee should visit the Kalsa-Bhandura area to get first hand report on the activity undertaken by the Karnataka government,” Borkar stated, while adding that nothing is done which shows that the BJP is least serious on the issue.
RGP President Manoj Parab then targeted the Congress whose party is in power in Karnataka. “The LoP Yuri Alemao is tweeting and questioning why the State BJP is silent on Karnataka CM’s visit to the PM,” Parab stated.
