Newly appointed BJP National President Nitin Nabin will make his first visit to Goa on January 30 and 31, with the party preparing a packed two-day schedule that includes strategy meetings and a major workers’ sammelan in Taleigao.
Announcing the programme on Wednesday, State BJP President Damodar Naik told reporters the party expects to “learn a lot” from Nabin’s leadership, citing his experience as a five-time MLA and his role in organisational consolidation ahead of upcoming elections.
Nabin took charge on Tuesday, succeeding J P Nadda after being elected unopposed.
“The BJP National President will begin his visit on January 30 with a core committee meeting, followed by interactions with MLAs, office-bearers and party functionaries. He will also attend public events and visit prominent temples, as well as pay homage at the memorials of former chief ministers Manohar Parrikar and Bhausaheb Bandodkar,” Naik said.
The visit will shift focus to grassroots mobilisation on January 31, when Nabin will address the booth and mandal Karyakartas at 10 am at the Taleigao Community Centre. “This will provide guidance on strengthening the party right down to the booth level,” Naik said.
