Residents of Gogol Housing Board have complained of water scarcity in the locality for the last couple of days, demanding action by the authorities.
Agitated residents are believed to have directed their ire at the candidates and the political masters, demanding that they concentrate on providing basic necessities such as water supply and good roads.
While pointing out that one part of the Housing Board area is facing water scarcity on account of low pressure, with water coming in trickles, they wondered why the other parts of the Housing Board is receiving uninterrupted water supply with normal pressure.
“We are also citizens like any another citizen staying in the Housing Board area or in adjoining Margao. But, when it comes to making available the water supply amenity, we are being discriminated. These politicians come to us only for votes and forget to resolve our plight,” the residents asserted, while demanding immediate supply of water to the locality with normal pressure.
