The Goa government on Wednesday informed the House that 98.88 per cent of the assurances made in the last State Budget 2024-25 are either completed or underway.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant tabled the Action Taken Report (ATR) on Budget 2024-25, according to which out of 446 assurances, 441 assurances were initiated in the same financial year and the implementation is either completed or underway.
“The matter pertaining to 5 (1.12%) assurances have either been dropped /kept on hold due to various administrative reasons,” the ATR stated.
Of the total five, four projects - three with the Tribal Welfare department and one in Health have been rejected. The Union Ministry of Tribal Welfare has rejected three proposals - the construction of a community hall near Sateri Jalmi Temple at Kirlapal Dabal, Dharbanbora, the construction of Sanskruti Bhavan at Dhatimol in Sanvordem and the construction of Sabhagruha (Hall) at Satyanarayan temple at Amarkhane Querim, Ponda.
The state government has rejected a proposal for the upgradation/setting up of RMD Nagargao moved by the Health department.
The government has kept on hold the proposal to establish operation theatre and rehabilitation for Large animals at Cattle Breeding Farm, Copardem, Sattari since it is in the process of establishing a veterinary college and the OT will be set up within that clinical complex.
Among the various works that are completed include work of observatory towers with viewing galleries-New Zuari Bridge, the construction of a flyover on Margao Ring Road in Margao, Construction of New Fire Station Building at Vasco, improvement of water supply systems, Khelo Goa centres in Ponda and Sanquelim, agumentation of KTCL fleet, revision of honorarium to ZP members, auction 20% of the available industrial and commercial plots across industrial estates, etc.
