The Congress on Tuesday expelled Goa spokesperson Trajano D'Mello from the primary membership of the party for six years accusing him of being involved in anti-party activities.Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) vice-president M K Sheikh in a press release has announced the expulsion of Trajano D'mello.
Sheikh has said that expulsion is for anti-party activities and it was ordered as per the directions of All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge Dinesh Gundu Rao.
“As directed by AICC in-charge Dinesh Gundu Rao, the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has expelled Trajano D"Mello from the primary membership of the Congress for six years for anti-party activities,” Shaikh stated in a release.
It can be noted that an audio clip of D'Mello making allegations against GPCC chief Girish Chodankar was viral on social media.
Meanwhile Trajano D'mello has avoided immediately commenting on his expulsion and decided to explain his stand in a press conference to be addressed on Wednesday.
