The Goa Public Service Commission through a duly constituted Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) chaired by Jose Manuel Noronha, chairman GPSC has recommended the promotion of 18 Accounts Officers to the position of Deputy Director of Accounts.
Officials who are Assistant Accounts Officers in the department and who possess at least three years of experience in the grade are eligible to be promoted to the post of Dy Director of Accounts based on seniority and confidential reports that meet the benchmark standards.
The Commission further recommended the promotion of 22 accountants to the position of Assistant Accounts Officer through another DPC. Accountants with five years of experience in the grade are eligible to be promoted to the post of AAO subject to them having passed the departmental examination and possessing confidential reports meeting the benchmark standards.
The GPSC has processed a large number of proposals for promotion of officials during the last few months filling a number of vacancies which will result in better cadre management at the departmental level.
